A San Francisco federal judge denied San Mateo County Sheriff's Christina Corpus' request on Wednesday to block a voter-approved removal process as she fights to keep her job.

The Court is skeptical that Corpus will ever be able to prevail on her federal rights claims,” U.S. District Judge Vince Chhabria writes in his ruling.
