Rain chances for Dallas are low, according to KXAS-TV (NBC5). Morning showers are most likely, with a 45% chance of rain at 8 a.m. Most of the day carries a rain chance below 10%. At about 7:30 a.m., it was raining in Fort Worth, according to NBC5’s weather radar. Radars showed the storm was expected to move east towards Dallas.

The lull in precipitation will allow temperatures to climb well into the 80s Friday afternoon, so it will feel warm outside.

Severe weather and flash flooding will target areas from Texas to the Midwest through Thursday. The greatest threat of tornadoes and large hail Wednesday is expected from Dallas-Fort Worth to the Ark-La-Tex.
