The Seattle Seahawks survived a rather sloppy and sluggish Monday Night Football showdown against the Houston Texans to the tune of 27-19. While it was ultimately a one score game, this was not nearly indicative of how uncompetitive it mostly was.
The Texans couldn't run or throw the ball effectively. The offensive line somehow looks worse than it did last season. The ballyhooed offensive system installed in the offseason seems worse than "Ask Madden"-the algorithm-based option to decide which play to run next in the iconic Madden NFL video game.
The Seattle Seahawks (5-2) triumphed 27-19 over the Houston Texans (2-4) in a game that wasn't as close as the scoreboard indicated. Seattle struggled to get out of their own way, committing four turnovers -- their most in a game since 2020.
The Houston Texans (2-3) are in Seattle tonight to take on the Seahawks (4-2) in the second half of tonight’s Monday Night Football doubleheader. C.J. Stroud and the Texans have won two in a row after starting the season 0-3 but they cannot rest on their laurels.
