FORT WORTH, Texas — A man was killed by an accidental, self-inflicted gunshot wound at a Fort Worth gun range on Monday, Fort Worth Police confirmed. Officers responded to a shooting call around 8:49 p.m. on Dec. 30 at the Smart Shoot gun range, located at 10305 North Freeway Service Road, according to Fort Worth police.

According to the Fort Worth Police Department, the man and his friend said they were attending a block party on Fox Run Drive when they were shot at. One of the men was hit in his right shoulder, police said. Both men told police they drove off to seek medical attention, police said.

FORT WORTH — A shooting in north Fort Worth left one person dead and two others seriously injured, according to officials with MedStar. Police were called to a home in the 7500 block of Berrenda Drive just before 3 p.m. Tuesday. The home is just northwest of the intersection of I-35W and Basswood Boulevard.

Officials identified the person killed in a shooting that wounded two others on Christmas Eve in Fort Worth. The victim was 17-year-old Ja’Qualin Houston, according to records from the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
