New York Giants general manager Joe Schoen told reporters on Saturday afternoon that the team would not be picking up the fifth-year option on offensive tackle Evan Neal. Earlier this week, Schoen said they would be exercising the fifth-year option of the team's other 2022 first round pick, linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux.

The most recent happened Thursday night, when he picked Abdul Carter third overall in the 2025 NFL Draft. Last offseason, Schoen traded for (and paid big money to) Brian Burns. And three years ago, in his first Giants draft, Schoen selected Kayvon Thibodeaux at No. 5.
