A listeria outbreak that has reached 13 states and involves three deaths has been linked to chicken Alfredo dishes recalled from Walmart and Kroger, the nation's two largest grocery sellers.
The outbreak, which began last July, is being traced to FreshRealm chicken fettucine alfredo meals distributed to Walmart and Kroger stores across the country.
The company that made the meals issued a nationwide recall as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said they were linked to 17 listeria cases across 13 states.
