With the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens both getting a jump on Week 17 of the NFL regular season, we have a bit more information about what Week 18 means for the Steelers prior to any of the other AFC teams in the playoff mix getting to play.

The next-to-final week in the NFL — Week 17! — is here for the 2024 season. And while the current NFL playoff picture is pretty clear in AFC (five of the seven teams have clinched spots) and the NFC (three spots are available), that means there are still squads that are very much alive heading into the penultimate week of regular-season action.

Leading off the NFL's tripleheader on Saturday, the Chargers will embark on a cross-country trip to meet the Patriots in New England. A win or tie on the road would get LA back to the playoffs as a wild-card team. The Patriots are on a five-game losing streak, though three of those matchups were decided by one score.
