Amazon.com was sued on Friday by consumers over its alleged sale of a wide variety of rice contaminated by arsenic and other "heavy metals."

Boeing has avoided prosecution over two crashes of 737 Max planes that killed 346 people, but must pay $1.1 billion in a settlement reached with the U.S. Justice Department.

The government said it had conferred with families of crash victims, and said many either supported or did not oppose the deal.
