Finland’s parliament has voted overwhelmingly to pull out of a major international treaty on land mines as the Nordic country seeks to boost its defenses against an increasingly assertive Russia.

Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and Poland — have recently pulled out of the Ottawa Treaty or announced plans to do so. View on euronews

Finland this week became the latest country to withdraw from an international agreement that bans the use of antipersonnel mines, joining several fellow NATO allies in a move aimed at deterring Russian aggression.
