Ukrainian officials say three people were killed and 13 were wounded when Russia attacked the country with waves of drones and missiles.

Russia launched 315 drones at Ukraine overnight into Tuesday, in what Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said was “one of the largest” attacks on the capital Kyiv, with local officials in the southern port city of Odesa also reporting a maternity ward there had been hit.

A nine-minute-long Russian drone attack on Ukraine's second largest city of Kharkiv in the middle of the night killed at least two people and injured 54, including five children, regional officials said on Wednesday.
