Out of nowhere, Netflix has confirmed Virgin River season 8 is happening, and while we’ve not seen season 7 yet, the show’s renewal suggests one key cliffhanger might now be fake.

Before Season 7 of “Virgin River” even has a premiere date, the series has been renewed for its eighth season at Netflix. An early renewal is par for the course for “Virgin River,” which was renewed for Season 7 ahead of the October 2024 release of the sixth season.

Season seven of Virgin River is expected to be released in early to mid-2026. The number of episodes ordered for season eight has not been announced at press time.
