Which tells me that there’s still quite solid logic in the 49ers’ offensive line game plan. This time last year, I wrote that the 49ers were going all-in on offensive line coach Chris Foerster.

So, how can the 49ers address the three needs on the offensive line this offseason? The left guard spot is likely the easiest to solve by retaining at least one of the free agents above.

The 49ers offensive line took a lot of heat in 2024, but they aren’t nearly as bad as some would lead to believe. However, fans are right to push for improvement from the group.
