Spears does not seem to have a close relationship with Jayden and Preston right now, although she’s said she would like to. In her October 16 Instagram post, she revealed that she’s only seen one of her sons for 45 minutes in the past five years, and the other for four visits in the past five years.

"The constant gaslighting from ex-husband is extremely hurtful and exhausting," Spears wrote on X. "I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys. Relationships with teenage boys is complex.

“I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys,” Spears posted on Instagram and X Wednesday night. She was referring to her sons Sean Preston, 20, and Jayden James, 19. “I have felt demoralized by this situation and asked and almost begged for them to be a part of my life.”

It was a special moment to have the cousins together, especially since the boys have been living with their father and his family in Hawaii since 2023.
