More than 30 million Americans are at risk for severe storms after a week of wild weather across the country, including a massive tornado in Morton, Texas. TODAY’s Al Roker tracks the forecast.

It's been another especially active severe weather season across the Lone Star State, driven by persistent upper-level low pressure systems and abundant atmospheric moisture riding north from the Gulf of Mexico.

A stretch of intense and potentially dangerous weather is headed toward parts of Texas this weekend, with forecasters in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex warning of multiple rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms beginning Saturday night and continuing through early next week.
