F1 has a new trailer out that makes it seem, you know, like a movie about dudes driving around in circles. The film centers on Sonny Hayes (Brad Pitt), a retired driver whose F1 team-owning friend Ruben (Javier Bardem) pulls him back onto the track to mentor up-and-coming racer Joshua “Noah” Pearce (Damson Idris).

Maverick took all of the incredible photography in that movie and applied that same approach to a racing movie? To me, that’s a pretty compelling sales pitch no matter what else the movie is about or who else is involved.

At a special event celebrating F1 ‘s trailer, director Joseph Kosinski revealed that no regular car was going to be able to capture the magic of a real F1 race car. And so the actors, including Brad Pitt and Damson Idris were actually filmed inside cars going at over 100 miles per hour.

F1 is a new movie starring Brad Pitt and is directed by Joseph Kosinski. You know, the guy who gave us Top Gun: Maverick. So if anyone know what it means to go fast, it is Kosinski. A new trailer for the film dropped and gives a bit more insight into what Kosinski and company are doing with F1.
