Denzel Washington keeps up with contemporary rap more than the average listener. The actor co-stars in new action-drama Highest 2 Lowest with ASAP Rocky and Ice Spice, listens to current Memphis rappers like Moneybagg Yo, and knows an underrated Smino and Samara Cyn collaboration.

"I’ve been at this a long time, and there’s times when I’ve won, shouldn’t have won, didn’t win, should have won," Washington said during an interview with Jake's Takes. "Man gives the award, God gives the reward. I’m not that interested in Oscars."
