The Austin Police Department responded to an aggravated sexual assault at an apartment complex involving 6 people.Shotrly after midnight today a security guard

The Austin Police Department said shortly after 4 a.m. officers were on the scene of a "barricaded subject" at an apartment in the 10000 block of North Lamar Boulevard.

APD believed the suspect barricaded themselves inside the complex, and several people evacuated after a few hours. It's uncertain if the suspect was among those who left the unit.

Lockhart police received a 911 call about 3 p.m. reporting a "physical assault" in the 900 block of South Brazos Street, a news release said, and officers found a man who had sustained a gunshot wound. He was taken to a hospital for treatment and has been released, Lockhart police said.

APD SWAT was dispatched to assist after a suspect barricaded themselves in a building in the 900 block of First Street.

A man is facing aggravated assault charges after police say he shot someone, then fled and barricaded himself inside a home in Lockhart.
