After months of teases, Cadillac officially announced the Lyriq-V as a 615-horsepower, high-performance electric SUV that will go on record as the “quickest” vehicle ever produced by the luxury automaker.

Balancing both luxury and absolute EV performance, the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V earns its title as the fastest Cadillac ever, while also being mildly practical.

On Thursday, the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V debuted with 615 hp, a dedicated V-Mode, a V-specific sound, upgraded brakes, and a revised design. It'll cost $79,999 including a $1,395 destination charge, and it will go into production at the GM's Spring Hill Manufacturing plant in Tennessee in the first quarter of 2025.

Cadillac’s V-Series model lineup has officially made the jump to the EV era. The brand’s latest entry, the 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V, is the first all-electric model to carry the performance moniker. The 2026 Cadillac Lyriq-V is the latest in the growing lineup of V-series vehicles that caters to performance enthusiasts. It’s also the first electric vehicle to get the V-Series treatment. While the first thing that you think of when you see that V is performance, it’s also about technology and a personalized driving experience.

This enables the model to accelerate from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in approximately 3.3 seconds in Velocity Max mode. That makes it the quickest Cadillac, as it’s a tenth of a second faster than the CT5-V Blackwing.
