Monday was near-record warm in Denver, but a cold front is bringing temperatures back toward seasonal averages. Pinpoint Weather Meteorologist Liz McGiffin looks at what to expect for the rest of the week.

After a cold and snowy January, the city of Denver says it is winding down its cold weather shelter operations.

DENVER (KDVR) — After a mild weekend, near-record-warm temperatures are in Denver’s weather forecast to start the workweek. Sunday night will be partly cloudy and mild. Low temperatures will only fall to 40 degrees, which is more than 20 degrees above average low temperatures for this time of year.

Temperatures in Denver were expected to climb to 59 degrees and fall to 32 overnight Saturday, according to the National Weather Service.

A few records may fall on Monday, with a warm start to the workweek and mostly sunny skies over the Front Range in the Denver weather forecast.
