Many people may be planning to stay inside this weekend due to brutally cold temperatures, but there are plenty of fun indoor events happening this weekend in Denver.

Whether it be out on the town or hibernating in the comfort of your home, there are plenty of things to do while staying warm this weekend.

Upwards of half a foot of snow is anticipated in Denver through the weekend, as cold air settles in the Rockies and works eastward.

Roads are icy and snowy in many areas on Saturday morning. FOX31's Rachel Saurer was in the Pinpoint Weather Beast with a look at roads around the Denver metro area where even the busiest roads were packed with snow.

High temperatures will be below 20 degrees in Colorado for several days. Wind chills could dip into the negatives for most of the Denver area.

Much of the state woke up to several inches of snow on Saturday, and more is in the forecast for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day holiday weekend.
