Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission officers recently braved icy waters to rescue around 30 sea turtles.

The cold weather pushed the City of West Palm Beach to cancel the popular Clematis by Night event with temperatures dropping to 54 degrees by 9 p.m. Thursday.

Thirty sea turtles were rescued from the freezing waters during an unprecedented snowstorm that blanketed parts of Florida with six to eight inches of snow.
