Ghana's consumer inflation slowed for a fourth month in a row in April, to 21.2% year on year from 22.4% in March, the statistics service said on Wednesday. Government statistician Alhassan Iddrisu told a news conference that the latest decline was driven by a moderation in both food and non food inflation.

Inflation for the month of April slowed marginally to 21.23 percent from 22.4 percent in March. The drop was largely influenced by decline in food and non-food inflation compared to the same period for last year.

Headline inflation fell to its lowest level in over five years at 1.4 percent in April this year, the lowest recorded since the 1.2 percent in November 2019, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said Tuesday.
