Scherzer, who's been out since late March with thumb inflammation on his pitching hand, recently told Sportsnet that he'll be activated in time to face the Cleveland Guardians on Wednesday.

Max Scherzer is scheduled to be the Toronto Blue Jays' starting pitcher on Wednesday when they face the Guardians in Cleveland. He last appeared in a major league game on March 29 but exited early with thumb inflammation in his throwing hand.
