Moscow demands construction of 70-mile 'peace bridge' to connect Russia and US
A 70-mile "Putin-Trump" rail tunnel, proposed by Moscow, would be constructed by Elon Musk to connect Russia and the United States. According to a Kremlin ambassador, the tunnel, which would pass beneath the Bering Strait, would "symbolize unity" and enable cooperative research of natural resources.

US President Donald Trump on Friday reiterated that India would no longer buy oil from Russia. Trump repeated his claims amid his efforts to pressure Moscow over the war in Ukraine. Speaking at the White House during a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Trump said New Delhi had already “de-escalated” its purchases from Moscow.
The Russian Defence Ministry said on Friday that its forces had taken control of three more villages in eastern Ukraine, one in the Dnipropetrovsk region and two in the northeastern Kharkiv region, closer to the Russian border.
Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita met Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Moscow to strengthen their strategic partnership. The two ministers signed a memorandum establishing a joint working committee to deepen cooperation and monitor existing agreements.
