A low-pressure system just off the Florida coast is forecast to bring heavy rains, thunderstorms and possible flooding the next few days, the NWS said.

A disturbance hanging off the Florida coast that has been partially responsible for widespread storms across Florida on Tuesday has been highlighted for possible tropical development.

The chance of a tropical depression forming is low before the disturbance moves inland by this weekend, but it will still produce rainfall and rip current impacts on the northern Gulf Coast.
