Despite being a popular trade candidate this offseason, Kevin Durant may not be as far out the door for the Phoenix Suns as it would seem.
The Suns are looking to revamp their side for the next season. Kevin Durant 's future is one of the first ones for them to sort out. Durant, at 36-years-old, played 62 games this season. He averaged 26.6 points, six rebounds, and 4.2 assists.
The Philadelphia 76ers just endured several months of desperately clinging to their first-round pick. If the pick had landed outside of the top six, it would have gone to the Oklahoma City Thunder, so the 76ers spent the second half of last season tanking in an effort to keep it.
So, who's booking the next flight out of Beantown? Well, Marc Stein recently relayed on Substack that Boston "is more apt" to trade Jrue Holiday than backcourt mate Derrick White. Stein added that rival executives regard Kristaps Porziņģis "as the most movable Boston vet."
Around the trade deadline, it was rumored that the Suns were shopping Durant and that a deal was nearly in place that would've sent him to Golden State. According to NBA Insider Marc Stein, while the Suns will likely continue to shop Durant, they're unlikely to move Devin Booker when he appeared on the PHNX Suns Podcast.
