In a scene lifted straight out of Rookie of the Year, Nick Castellanos and J.T. Realmuto almost scored at the exact same time in the Philadelphia Phillies' 10-2 win over the New York Mets on Friday night.

Philadelphia took a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning on RBI singles from Otto Kemp and Brandon Marsh before the Mets tied the score in the sixth on back-to-back homers by Pete Alonso and Jeff McNeil off Taijuan Walker, who took over after Zack Wheeler pitched five scoreless innings.

Nick Castellanos’ leaping grab at the right-field wall helped save the Phillies on Wednesday. There was some irony in that being the final play of their 4-2 win over Miami, given that Castellanos had been benched for the previous game for an incident that began with him being removed for a defensive substitution.
