Business activity in Germany's private sector stabilised in January, marking an end to a six-month contraction as services growth offset a continued decline in manufacturing output, according to a survey published on Friday.

U.S. stocks traded lower midway through trading, with the Dow Jones index falling over 100 points on Friday. The Dow traded down 0.24% to 44,458.34 while the NASDAQ fell 0.08% to 20,036.71. The S&P 500 also fell, dropping, 0.06% to 6,115.26. Leading and Lagging Sectors Utilities shares surged by 0.7% on Friday.

India's business activity grew at the slowest pace in over a year in January, a survey showed, highlighting emerging cracks in its world-beating economic growth at start of 2025 although firms hired new staff at a record pace.
