SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – Authorities are investigating the slaying of an 18-year-old man in South Euclid on Thursday. Jeremiah Hawkins was fatally shot about 8:30 p.m. in the 4000 block of Verona Road, according to police and the office of the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner. The office released Hawkins’ identity Monday.

A man was fatally shot after someone threw a brick at the truck he was in during an argument in Sharpstown, police say. The Houston Police Department was searching for a group of at least five people who fled after the shooting Sunday night.
