The murder trial of Sean Grayson, the Illinois sheriff’s deputy charged with killing Sonya Massey in her home last year after calling police for help, began with a lengthy jury selection Monday mornin

The protesters gathered outside the courthouse as jury selection began inside for a case that was moved to Peoria County from Sangamon County because of the swell of attention the case garnered there.

The trial is starting in just three days for the former Sangamon County deputy charged in the shooting death of Sonya Massey.

Those attending the trial, which is expected to last a week and a half, will be greeted by protests around the courthouse in downtown Peoria, where the trial was moved after Grayson's attorneys, Daniel Fultz and Mark Wykoff, were granted a motion.
