Eastern’s girls tennis team hosted Western on Thursday for both teams’ season opener and the Comets came away with a 4-1 win.

Eastern and Northwestern are teaming to host the Howard County baseball invitational. The eight-team tourney includes the two hosts plus Taylor, Rossville, Rochester, Bluffton, Peru and Adams Central.
