Sundance Film Festival has added two movies documentaries to its premiere section, The Alabama Solution and The Stringer. The Alabama Solution is from directors and producers Andrew Jarecki and Charlotte Kaufman and follows an incarcerated men who defies the odds to expose a cover-up in one of America’s deadliest prison systems.

The Sundance Institute has announced the addition of two feature films to the current 2025 Sundance Film Festival program, bringing the total feature films at this year’s Festival to 88 projects. The Festival will take place from Jan.

The Sundance Film Festival is adding two docs to its 2025 schedule. The Alabama Solution and The Stringer will both screen in the Premieres section of the fest, which will kick off on Jan. 23 in park City.

"The Greatest Night in Pop" documentarian Bao Nguyen will also unveil "The Stringer" in the nonfiction Premieres category.
