RB Leipzig want to re-sign Christopher Nkunku as part of the deal to sell Xavi Simons to Chelsea. Chelsea are keen to move on several players including Nkunku – who wants to leave – before pushing ahead with bids to sign Simons and Manchester United’s Alejandro Garnacho.

Chelsea are interested in signing Xavi Simons this summer and it could well be that the attacking midfielder is included in the matchday squad to face Crystal Palace this weekend. The Blues returned to Cobham last week to begin preparations for the new campaign following a longer than usual 2024/25 season.

His struggles pushed Chelsea further into the striker market signing former Ipswich Town and Brighton and Hove Albion players Liam Delap and João Pedro respectively. Both players have enjoyed strong starts to their life at Stamford Bridge aiding the Blues to the FIFA Club World Cup and scoring in preseason.
