Nine: Directed by Rob Marshall. With Daniel Day-Lewis, Sandro Dori, Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard. Famous film director Guido Contini struggles to find harmony in his professional and personal lives, as he engages in dramatic relationships with his wife, his mistress, his muse, his agent, and his mother.

This movie won't win any Oscars, but its a reasonable kids movie. Kids liked it, and I was OK with it. Yes, the plot is predictable, and the jokes are pretty flat, but they are geared toward 10 year olds and adults who really like cats, and that is what is expected from a kids movie about a cat.

Nine Lives: Directed by Barry Sonnenfeld. With Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Garner, Robbie Amell, Cheryl Hines. A stuffy businessman finds himself trapped inside the body of his family's cat.

A List of Highly Rated Films appropriate for a nine year old. Please see my other lists for other ages. I should mention that there are many more movies which I think someone should have seen by the age of 9 (Like 'Star Wars' or 'The Lion King'), but which are not on here because they are rated for a different age bracket.

I have made this list based on my own personal favorites and my kids preferred watch list when they are Uber bored. Perhaps you can refer to this list in case you want to pick out movies you want your kids to watch in their free time.
