Xavier Academy, established in 1997, is a pioneer institution located in the heart of Kathmandu, at Lazimpat. It has its own complex and is housed in a well-planned and modern six-storied building, north of Hotel Radisson.

In 2010, La Masia became the first youth academy to have trained all three finalists for the Ballon d'Or in a single year: Lionel Messi, Andrés Iniesta and Xavi.
