Dec 19, 2024 · I bought an Arctic Cat Puma model snowmobile with money from my Fargo Forum newspaper route. 1972 at age 14. $888. 399cc. Kicked f’n ass. Used to fill the tank at 25 cents a gallon. Short body and track. One- seater. Handled like my Bultaco dirt bike. Drove the crap outa that machine. 65-70 mph on the frozen Red River between Fargo and Moorhead.

Jul 24, 2023 · It's not flashy but it's a great gun that just performs. The free floated barrel on my gen 2 is way more accurate than I expected. It's not 1990 anymore so I'm not losing sleep over losing fixed irons. I would take this gun into the jungle/desert/arctic or any extreme conditions theatre over any of my other rifles any day.

Sep 18, 2009 · Chrome moly tends to withstand high temperatures better. Stainless is easier to machine. Stinaless is more corrosion resistant than chromemoly but hard chrome is twice as corrosion resistant as stainless. Chromemoly can be machined to a thinner proile and still stay strong and safe. Stainless does not like arctic temperatures.

Sep 19, 2024 · DOnt get the ice maker cleaner on your skin, btw. Which means, have the forethought to use a wire to do the dunking. I use the green coated copper floral wire. Also, do this outside in a well ventilated area. I keep my solution in a 5 gal bucket with a lid to keep aminals/etc from getting into it.

May 6, 2024 · I may have a line on a Tikka Arctic that'll be up for consignment in a local shop. Been wanting another iron sighted Tikka. The Arctic and the Drover use CTR mags. Has anyone shot the Drover or used the Tikka Battue sights? I suspect the Arctic may be priced a bit high, don't know yet, although the Drover isn't exactly cheap.
