This is all I’m going to say on the anti-intellectualism debate…but if you’re not reading horror right now, you’re missing out. It is one of the richest genres that uses literary techniques in such intricate ways while also having stunning prose. The modern horror coming from BIPOC voices is also incredible. Feminist horror? Impeccable. Also read fun romance and fantasy (as long as they aren’t racists!!!) and I won’t judge. Reading is already setting you apart and having joy in life is important
