since the cause of my deafness is genetic there is a small chance my children could be deaf but since it’s recessive, it all depends on my husbands genes. We haven’t genetically tested him yet so we weren’t sure if he was a carrier for the cause of my deafness. The newborn hearing test told us that my son is hearing! Fun fact, he is a carrier of my deafness gene so if he marries someone with that same carrier gene there is a 25% chance they could have a deaf baby. #deaf #deafmom #deafandhearingc
