Did you know… When the Metro Tunnel arrives in 2025, the Cranbourne and Pakenham lines will run through the tunnel and its five new stations – Anzac, Town Hall, State Library, Parkville and Arden – before continuing to Sunbury. Five large-scale artworks designed for the new Metro Tunnel stations have been revealed, providing a glimpse of what the long-awaited project will look like at its completion in 2025. The permanent artworks include a mosaic on the facade of Arden Station in North Melbourne, featuring two large aluminium hands in a recreation of a J.S Calder painting by artist Abdul Abdullah, celebrating a coming together of communities in the area.
