A great white shark comes up on a sick sea lion. This shark, along with a few others circled the sea lion for an hour. The shark seen here is actually smaller than the other sharks in the scene. Last week, the SeaWorld San Diego rescue team received a call from a boater in San Diego Bay near Point Loma that reported a sea lion on a buoy with his had stuck inside a welded piece of metal, a rare position for a sea lion to be in. In response to the call, the SeaWorld Rescue Team requested the Port of San Diego Harbor Police Department (HPD) to confirm the animal’s location and the condition of the animal.
