On October 10, 1975 “Shivers” premiered in Montreal, Quebec, Canada! Written and directed by David Cronenberg and starring Paul Hampton, Lynn Lowry, Barbara Steele, Ronald Mlodzik and Vlasta Vrána. Produced by Ivan Reitman, the film was also widely known as “The Parasite Murders” and “They Came from Within”. Dick Smith and Joe Blasco worked on effects and makeup for the film. The film follows the residents of a suburban high-rise apartment building who are being infected by a strain of parasites
