TRAIN DERAILMENT: An early morning 17-car freight train derailment in Dixmoor is blocking roads and rail crossings in Chicago's south suburbs, with video and photos showing huge train cars rolled off the tracks. The derailment happened shortly before 5 a.m. Friday near 140th Street and Spaulding Avenue, blocking crossings at Robey, Lincoln and Western Avenues, a CSX spokesperson said. | NBC Chicago

⚠️ A CSX coal train derailment in New Kent County has canceled Amtrak service between Richmond and Newport News. Officials say no hazardous materials were involved and no injuries were reported. A source told Jon Burkett that a bridge was "taken out" in the crash. There has been no word on how long the trains that use those tracks, which continue through James City County and then Williamsburg before ending at the coal piers in Newport News, will be impacted. ⚠️ | WTVR CBS 6 News
