The views from Hanging Rock State Park near Mount Airy, Winston-Salem area are well worth the hike. The day that I was there it was a quintessential Autumn day. The trees' foliage was at their peak and the weather couldn't have been any more enjoyable. A large crowd also made the moderate to strenuous hike on the Hanging Rock Trail to share the victory and rewarded with this panoramic view.
